Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patric Bierhoff in the 15th minute of play. FC KALELİ's Yavuz Selimhan Gulson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Zorita in the 17th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 18 minutes, Patric Bierhoff took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Julio Vera to make any attempt to save it. Yavuz Selimhan Gulson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Patric Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patric Bierhoff in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kojiro Hyuga kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Yavuz Selimhan Gulson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. Patric Bierhoff's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
