In the 15th minute, Eliseo Noboa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arturo Felli was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Eliseo Noboa made in the 20th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Alan Moruga however managed to control. Bar Marconi United's Armin Muciaccia managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hugo Ferrant in the 22 minute of the game. The supporters of Bar Marconi United booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Efrain Moruga made in the 30th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Eliseo Noboa however managed to control. Bar Marconi United's Corrado Marrone quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Eliseo Noboa, made in the 40th minute of the game. Benito Sanz was a little too slow when Arrigo Latini got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Arturo Felli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Tasis in the 45th minute of play. In the 46th minute of the match Costa Rica got a corner. Bar Marconi United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Axel Tasis ran over to the corner to take the kick. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. The Bar Marconi United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Costa Rica were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Bani was the one to do the kick off. A throw-in in the 52nd minute of the game was made by Eliseo Noboa with Efrain Moruga as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Arturo Felli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Axel Tasis showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 57 minute of play. In the 63rd match minute, Costa Rica was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Efrain Moruga to maneuver through the defense. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 72 minutes into the game, Eliseo Noboa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bar Marconi United the free kick. Bar Marconi United's Arturo Felli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Bar Marconi United from getting a goal against them.
