An unexpectedly hard shot by Lu Yuan Yin in the 3rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Murillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Pawlik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jedrzej Debowy made in the 14th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Wim Oosterman immediately put the ball in play. After taking down the ball on Peru's corner Luz Tejedor fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waldemar Pawlik quite easily take care of the ball. Waldemar Pawlik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lu Yuan Yin in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rolando Noboa saved Peru from getting behind. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lu Yuan Yin in the 26th minute. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zikri Eygül in the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 32nd minute of play forced Chelmza Team's goalkeeper Waldemar Pawlik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 33rd match minute, Chelmza Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zhou Yan Feng to maneuver through the defense. In the 40th minute Zhou Yan Feng suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 40 minutes, Emmanuel Reyes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Peru and the Chelmza Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chelmza Team made a substitution. Segundo Casco replaced Zhou Yan Feng. After 41 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Emmanuel Reyes. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zikri Eygül, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lu Yuan Yin made a kick off. Anthony Alvarado's late challenge caught a Chelmza Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anthony Alvarado helped the player get up and apologised. In the 54th minute, Anthony Alvarado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience held their breath when Zbigniew Boniek in the 55th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Rolando Noboa's left hand side. Chelmza Team's Waldemar Pawlik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliseo Mina in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelmza Team's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Chelmza Team's goalie and right to Julian Murillo. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Chelmza Team's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Zikri Eygül hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Peru's Eliseo Mina got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chelmza Team made a substitution. Marian Glembin replaced Stathis Giannopoulos. Waldemar Pawlik came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Gallo got free with Waldemar Pawlik in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Peru played a much better game than Chelmza Team and deserved their victory. The Chelmza Team players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
