In the 22nd minute Daniel Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Battal Refiğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stylus United's Carlos Fernando Albuquerque was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 25th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Battal Refiğ saved Stylus United from getting behind. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Carlos Fernando Albuquerque put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Julio Vera. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Fernando Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlos Fernando Albuquerque in the 88th minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Stylus United's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Battal Refiğ reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
