Willy Van Linthout didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Illescas went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruly's Joseph Neels got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Willy Van Linthout read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Alex Chicote. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joseph Neels, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venezuela! Robben Musseeuw got a throw-in 30 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Joseph Neels. Joseph Neels might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Joseph Neels ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 36th minute. Joseph Neels recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 42 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Joseph Neels. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Joseph Neels tried to sneak it across the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joseph Neels, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes, Alek Thys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bruly and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joseph Neels in the 56th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Brend Schrevens in the 61st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. An unexpectedly hard shot by 史浩远 in the 64th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Brend Schrevens got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Alex Chicote got a free kick in the 69th minute. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck in the 73rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Venezuela's Salvador Gisbert quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Alek Thys, made in the 77th minute of the game. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonathan Ferrant was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Mathias-Alexander Van Halbeeck's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play.
