An unexpectedly hard shot by Monty Rogers in the 35th minute of play forced Kolonia Radlin's goalkeeper Talha Mertkal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cassius Byrne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. USA's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cassius Byrne in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Marek Bergkamp made the kick off in the second half. Monty Rogers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out.
