Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmund Kojder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Karol Tomiczek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Budzyn having to interfere. In the 17th minute Szymon Sobczak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 30th minute of the match, Leszek Podwojski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Jan Budzyn was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Axel Lindberg could shoot a difficult shot in the 31st minute, which Jan Budzyn however easily saved by the left post. Legia Warszawa were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Witomir Blicharz took the corner. Szymon Sobczak kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. A collision led to Lyna Lidzbark Warminski getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Ludomir Blicharz hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Stanislaw Basinski during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leszek Podwojski to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's zone, Karol Tomiczek stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jan Budzyn came out of the goal and Karol Tomiczek tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jan Budzyn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Tomiczek in the 53rd minute of the match. Leszek Podwojski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zenon Pleban made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Edmund Kojder sent off a good shot on target. Leszek Podwojski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Budzyn having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Axel Lindberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Legia Warszawa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Leszek Podwojski hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Karol Tomiczek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Jan Budzyn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Lyna Lidzbark Warminski booed when Legia Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Tomiczek didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Kojder in the 90th minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zenon Pleban made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Gustaw Kosiorek sent off a good shot on target. Lyna Lidzbark Warminski's Jan Budzyn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 93rd minute of play. Dario Taglieri kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Legia Warszawa walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
