Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mustafa Barış Yarlık in the 2nd minute of play. Mustafa Barış Yarlık scored 0-1 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zenon Pleban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 8th minute of the match, Leszek Podwojski got a very nice opportunity to score, but Johannes Sobeck was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Leszek Podwojski came free with the goalkeeper in the 8th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Johannes Sobeck could save by the left post. The supporters of Legia Warszawa booed when LOI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mustafa Barış Yarlık didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, LOI's Alp Yaşar got a free kick in the 14th minute. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Thidén in the 18th minute of the match. Leszek Podwojski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Johannes Sobeck made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Thidén in the 21st minute of play forced Legia Warszawa's goalkeeper Zenon Pleban to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Leszek Podwojski dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Johannes Sobeck, 1-1. Rickard Thidén scored 1-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zenon Pleban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Johannes Sobeck showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karol Tomiczek in the 35th minute of the match. In the 36th minute of the match Legia Warszawa got a corner. LOI's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Qiu Yang ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Qiu Yang got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Johannes Sobeck quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Zenon Pleban didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rickard Thidén went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Rickard Thidén managed to get in a good position for a shot. LOI's supporters rose to their feet, but Rickard Thidén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zenon Pleban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leszek Podwojski was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the game, Karol Tomiczek cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Johannes Sobeck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 58th minute Karol Tomiczek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Sobeck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 62nd minute, Tarık Sehhar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Johannes Sobeck took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Axel Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 67 minutes into the match, LOI's goal looked a bit too open when Leszek Podwojski came free, but Johannes Sobeck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leszek Podwojski in the 69th minute of play forced LOI's goalkeeper Johannes Sobeck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rickard Thidén in the 71st minute of play. Zenon Pleban made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Thidén in the 73rd minute of play. Axel Lindberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Sobeck having to interfere. LOI made a substitution. Rıfat Helvacı replaced Rickard Thidén. Johannes Sobeck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karol Tomiczek, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Karol Tomiczek notched a goal, 3-3, to the right of LOI's Johannes Sobeck. Johannes Sobeck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Karol Tomiczek struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Johannes Sobeck didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legia Warszawa. In the 95th minute Tarık Sehhar suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Qiu Yang during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Qiu Yang kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. In the 97th minute, Hikmet Şafakgün fired a really elegant long shot, but Zenon Pleban threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Legia Warszawa were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
