The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Karol Tomiczek dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alf Engman, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Bernt Carlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. AC United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bernt Carlberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zenon Pleban breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 40th minute, Bernt Carlberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, AC United's goalkeeper Alf Engman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leszek Podwojski. After taking down the ball on Legia Warszawa's corner Qiu Yang fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alf Engman quite easily take care of the ball. Dario Taglieri hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leszek Podwojski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Axel Lindberg scored 3-1 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alf Engman, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 56th minute Axel Lindberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alf Engman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 57 minutes into the game, Axel Lindberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Alf Engman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Axel Lindberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 61st minute, Gu Hong Ang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the match, Legia Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Bernt Carlberg came free, but Zenon Pleban reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 63 minutes into the match, AC United's goal looked a bit too open when Karol Tomiczek came free, but Alf Engman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute Robin Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Pleban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zenon Pleban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernt Carlberg in the 67th minute of the match. Witomir Blicharz kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When AC United's Bernt Carlberg in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Legia Warszawa's goalie prevented a goal. Bernt Carlberg had several of the Legia Warszawa's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 4-2 score and a disappointed Zenon Pleban as he didn't even see the shot coming. Alf Engman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 74th minute of play. Alf Engman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leszek Podwojski, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leszek Podwojski in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alf Engman saved AC United from getting behind. Alf Engman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leszek Podwojski in the 76th minute of the match. After 79 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Axel Lindberg. Legia Warszawa's Zenon Pleban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernt Carlberg in the 83rd minute of play. After 89 played minutes Legia Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Qiu Yang. In the 92nd minute of the match, Joel Lindman got a very nice opportunity to score, but Zenon Pleban was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Joel Lindman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Pleban having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Legia Warszawa had won after a very even match.
