A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Dante Lacasa was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Géza Kulcsár. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grnd Juventus NNNL's goalkeeper Norman Grieve, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some careless play in the Grnd Juventus NNNL defense, Lautaro Mancebo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Norman Grieve. The Grnd Juventus NNNL fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Norman Grieve should have stopped the shot. Norman Grieve made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 19th minute of play. Norman Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lautaro Mancebo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Grnd Juventus NNNL's goal looked a bit too open when Alberto Tafalla came free, but Norman Grieve reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. Árpád Almási hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Ádám Soós notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Felix Luque hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Norman Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 47 played minutes Grnd Juventus NNNL got a freekick which was hit by Sándor Edelényi.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joel Gaona made a kick off. Olivér Gyenes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Grnd Juventus NNNL's Norman Grieve played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 60th minute of play. Norman Grieve took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Tafalla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Grieve having to interfere. In the 86th minute of the match, Joel Gaona tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norman Grieve saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Gaona in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norman Grieve prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 92nd match minute, Grnd Juventus NNNL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Árpád Almási to maneuver through the defense. Norman Grieve showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Mexico's Alberto Tafalla nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Norman Grieve made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. When the match was over Mexico could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grnd Juventus NNNL throughout the match.
