Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Daniel Zorita made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Modlau's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Lew Yashin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Fioravanti hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. If Felix Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarmo Laik in the 14th minute of the match. Barry McCray who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Julio Vera when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 18th minute, Barry McCray left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Modlau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. 22 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lew Yashin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Lew Yashin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Fioravanti in the 28th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 30th minute of play forced Modlau's goalkeeper Lew Yashin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lew Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Fioravanti in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. 41 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Modlau's Lew Yashin. Lew Yashin was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Julio Vera was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Claudio Fioravanti capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Claudio Fioravanti really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudio Fioravanti in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Julio Vera saved Ecuador from getting behind. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry McCray in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th minute of the match Modlau got a corner. Ecuador's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barry McCray ran over to the corner to take the kick. Claudio Fioravanti kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Claudio Fioravanti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Fioravanti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Modlau made a substitution. Damazy Jucha replaced Jarmo Laik. After 68 minutes Ecuador's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Barry McCray who took care of the corner kick. Felix Montenegro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lew Yashin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lew Yashin. Lew Yashin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Fioravanti in the 76th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Modlau's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Felix Montenegro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 94 minutes into the match, Dominic Salazar notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but Modlau were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
