Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Gaona in the 12th minute of play forced Ɍυƒυs™'s goalkeeper 周益亦 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 13 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Vilhena came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ivan Vilhena in the 14th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's supporters rose to their feet, but Lautaro Mancebo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 周益亦 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes Ɍυƒυs™ got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Vilhena. After some careless play in the Ɍυƒυs™ defense, Joel Gaona kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of 周益亦. The Ɍυƒυs™ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that 周益亦 should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano Vale in the 54th minute of play. Facundo Cadaval received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. 周益亦 tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel Gaona scored 1-4 in the 70th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of 周益亦, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lautaro Mancebo to maneuver through the defense. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 周益亦 having to interfere. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adriano Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Mora, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. After 80 minutes, Santiago Mora made it 2-4 with a short kick to the right side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 94th minute, Filipe Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Lacasa was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-4. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
