Celsinho Vargas made in the 40th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Peru's Luz Tejedor. Marcinho Donatello took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 46 minutes in the game Celsinho Vargas did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Doru Băieșu.

Milagros Fraga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Marcinho Donatello made a huge save. Peru's attentive Eliseo Mina managed to snatch the ball when Celsinho Vargas made a throw-in in the 54th minute of the game. A throw-in in the 57th minute of the game was made by Celsinho Vargas with Kornél Huszti as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Leoš Dočkal's late challenge caught a Peru's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leoš Dočkal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Peru's Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 64th minute. Ediberto Tinoco tried in the 64th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Marcinho Donatello a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-5. 68 minutes into the game, Celsinho Vargas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 71st minute of the match Peru got a corner. SNIPER's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Eliseo Mina got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Marcinho Donatello quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luz Tejedor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcinho Donatello read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. After having played for 80 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru made a substitution. Eliseo Alcocer replaced Moises Gayoso. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. If Antonio Tenorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
