The crowd rose to their feet as Memphis Grizzlies's Stuart Banks slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jonathan Ferrant. That made the score 2-0 after 9 minutes of play. In the 13th minute, Stuart Banks left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Memphis Grizzlies fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stuart Banks in the 16th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stuart Banks's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mattias Sawyer was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Memphis Grizzlies's Stuart Banks ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. When Camilo Gaos fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Camilo Gaos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Memphis Grizzlies booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camilo Gaos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Calvin Croft blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonathan Ferrant having to make a save. Tony Jones kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stuart Banks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Camilo Gaos got a free kick in the 50th minute. After having played for 51 minutes, Stuart Banks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Memphis Grizzlies's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stuart Banks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stuart Banks, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. When Calvin Croft came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Memphis Grizzlies fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Calvin Croft couldn't finish the play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Hislop in the 59th minute of play. A collision led to Memphis Grizzlies getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tony Jones hit a great ball. Memphis Grizzlies made a substitution. Jack Greenfield replaced Calvin Croft. 63 minutes into the match, Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonathan Ferrant narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led Memphis Grizzlies's Nicky Sansom to fire away a dangerous shot which Jonathan Ferrant despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 66 minutes of play, Memphis Grizzlies's Ty Hislop made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Hislop in the 70th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Hislop, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ty Hislop, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ty Hislop went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 7-0 was the resulting score. In the 89th minute, Ty Hislop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
