In the 19th minute Milagros Fraga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirkelam Özdoğru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 29 minutes into the match, JiOmaro's goal looked a bit too open when Luz Tejedor came free, but Mirkelam Özdoğru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes JiOmaro's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Luz Tejedor who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Peru's Milagros Fraga to fire away a dangerous shot which Mirkelam Özdoğru despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Songurbey Tuncal ran back to his position shaking his head. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Songurbey Tuncal, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 40th minute Luz Tejedor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mirkelam Özdoğru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Julian Murillo did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-1 to the left of a surprised Mirkelam Özdoğru 74 minutes into the match. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes in the game Efraim Gilabert did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Milagros Fraga. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. In the 88th match minute, JiOmaro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mourits Nelander to maneuver through the defense.
