Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Julian Murillo got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan Lindström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The corner led to Peru's Eliseo Mina getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Jan Lindström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eliseo Mina, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Lindström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Radamel Oakley came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 18th minute of the game. One of Surahammar:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Peru:s goal. Victor Santxol could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Rolando Noboa made a huge save. Jan Lindström came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Santxol in the 28th minute of play. After 32 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Efraim Gilabert. Victor Santxol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Mark Brovall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Victor Santxol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Victor Santxol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Peru was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emmanuel Reyes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Surahammar made a substitution. André Pettersson replaced Victor Santxol. After a rather tough play, Peru's Emmanuel Reyes got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute André Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 61st minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Surahammar's Jan Lindström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 68th minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Surahammar's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Jan Lindström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Radamel Oakley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jan Lindström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Mina in the 84th minute of play. After having played for 87 minutes, Julian Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peru's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julian Murillo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peru made a substitution. In the 90th minute André Pettersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rolando Noboa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Surahammar.
