The supporters of Peru booed when Sacronas Futbol Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kürşat Hamurcu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sacronas Futbol Club's Santos Sidro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 23rd minute of play. Rolando Noboa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beyhan Oğuzer in the 25th minute. After 33 played minutes Peru got a freekick which was hit by Alonso Berganza. In the 34th match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alonso Berganza to maneuver through the defense. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Stanislao in the 35th minute of play. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luz Tejedor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 45th minute of play forced Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Julian Murillo to make the kick off. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sacronas Futbol Club's goalkeeper Santos Sidro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 93rd minute of the match, Rafael Gallo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Santos Sidro saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Santos Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Gallo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Despite being the better team, Peru failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
