Chile's Mariano Lacasa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 41st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Topsail. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mariano Lacasa was the one to do the kick off. If Guillermo Fontirroig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Topsail's goalkeeper Bill Carmichael had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mariano Lacasa. Bill Carmichael showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Lacasa in the 57th minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, Chile's Mariano Lacasa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bill Carmichael narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Chile fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thiago Pliego should have stopped the shot. Thiago Pliego showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sondang Prabowo in the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, György Berkes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Topsail's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chile the free kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Topsail fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chile had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
