Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregório Neiva in the 38th minute of the match. Primitivo Andino made in the 40th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Felix Montenegro. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gregório Neiva got free with Julio Vera in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gregório Neiva was the one to do the kick off. Gregório Neiva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julio Vera read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 51st minute of play. Feng Cheng Ling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. 65 minutes into the match, Mira United FC's Gregório Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregório Neiva in the 66th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Gregório Neiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mira United FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. In the 81st minute Mira United FC were awarded a corner. Feng Cheng Ling went to the cornerflag to take it. Mira United FC's Dércio Moreira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Julio Vera in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Eriberto Bonadona made a huge save. After 89 minutes, Ademar Ramires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mira United FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ademar Ramires hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. If Gregório Neiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
