Axel Montenegro might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Higinio Aguilera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Axel Montenegro ran back to his position shaking his head. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Colombia booed when Los Hijos de Doña Beija was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hu Xiong Zhen didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Abelardo Domenec in the 22nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Colombia's Kevin Mastache. Axel Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute Axel Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Higinio Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Higinio Aguilera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Montenegro in the 25th minute of play. Colombia's attentive Kevin Mastache managed to snatch the ball when Abelardo Domenec made a throw-in in the 28th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Axel Montenegro in the 32nd minute of play forced Los Hijos de Doña Beija's goalkeeper Higinio Aguilera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Axel Montenegro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higinio Aguilera. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Axel Montenegro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Higinio Aguilera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Mastache in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute, Indiana Jones reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Manzanares. The goal made the score 2-2. Feliciano Haritzeder could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save.

The wind increased when Luís Fábio Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Aaron Cresitobalo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feliciano Haritzeder in the 60th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luís Fábio Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Manzanares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 62nd minute of play. If Luís Fábio Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Albino Brion scored 5-2 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pedro Manzanares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Adan Inge was substituted for Abelardo Domenec. The supporters of Los Hijos de Doña Beija booed when Colombia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Mastache didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Fábio Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luís Fábio Rocha in the 97th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Manzanares saved Colombia from getting behind. Los Hijos de Doña Beija walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
