Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Julian Murillo started the match with the kick off. Alonso Berganza hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Julian Murillo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Higinio Aguilera was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. 15 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fábio Rocha came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abelardo Domenec kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Higinio Aguilera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Murillo in the 18th minute of the match. Peru's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luz Tejedor in the 19th minute. Venancio Sandaili got a throw-in 27 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Demy Ottens. 30 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Aguilera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Higinio Aguilera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Peru's zone, Abelardo Domenec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolando Noboa came out of the goal and Abelardo Domenec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 45th minute, Milagros Fraga left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After the first half Peru were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Los Hijos de Doña Beija made a substitution. Indiana Jones replaced Luís Fábio Rocha. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Indiana Jones to make the kick off. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Indiana Jones in the 57th minute of the match. After 59 minutes of play, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Indiana Jones made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolando Noboa was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Peru getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Efraim Gilabert hit a great ball. 63 minutes into the match, Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Demy Ottens broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 66th minute, Peru's Julian Murillo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Indiana Jones in the 69th minute of play. Peru's Rolando Noboa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliciano Haritzeder in the 77th minute of play. Higinio Aguilera made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Indiana Jones in the 83rd minute of play forced Peru's goalkeeper Rolando Noboa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Peru's goal looked a bit too open when Jyrki Sillanpää came free, but Rolando Noboa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the game, Indiana Jones cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Rolando Noboa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Peru made a substitution. Rafael Gallo replaced Julian Murillo. Los Hijos de Doña Beija's Adan Inge was substituted for Demy Ottens. When Eliseo Mina came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Peru fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Mina couldn't finish the play. Peru's Eliseo Mina managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ciro Osasun in the 97 minute of the game. Higinio Aguilera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael Gallo, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Peru walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
