Felix Montenegro hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fausto Montel in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Hagedorn got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Julio Vera quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alf Tempel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 61st minute. Shi Yuan Qi took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 68thth minute of the game Daniel Hagedorn who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 73 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Felix Montenegro. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. If Daniel Hagedorn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Despite being the better team, Ecuador failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
