With a couple of smart ball manuevers Agustín Saelices in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geovani Baiano saved FC Kolos from getting behind. 26 minutes into the match, Cristian Sancho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Geovani Baiano. FC Kolos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cristian Sancho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 30th minute of the match, Boleslaw Niziolek sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Julio Vera showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's Lars Bjurström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovani Baiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Boleslaw Niziolek. Lars Bjurström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, FC Kolos's Lars Bjurström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Geovani Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lars Bjurström in the 67th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Zorita got free with Geovani Baiano in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 77 minutes FC Kolos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. After 81 minutes of play, FC Kolos's Lars Bjurström made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Julio Vera was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 86 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Bjurström came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-3. Luis Andino was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Ecuador's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC Kolos throughout the match.
