Michel van der Bij showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 31st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Omar Gelmiro got free with Julio Vera in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 36 minutes into the match, ISPARTASPOR U21's Alfredo Gumaro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Julio Vera narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Omar Gelmiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joško Van Landschoot made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, ISPARTASPOR U21's goalkeeper Michel van der Bij had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. When Alfredo Gumaro came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the ISPARTASPOR U21 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Gumaro couldn't finish the play. ISPARTASPOR U21's Davi Isac was substituted for Alfredo Gumaro. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Omar Gelmiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. ISPARTASPOR U21 made a substitution. Mitch Batshuayi replaced Joško Van Landschoot. In the 91st minute, Cristian Sancho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Michel van der Bij was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Luis Andino hit a great ball. Ecuador were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
