Alberto Tafalla made a great header on Mexico's corner, it was just that Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan managed to reach the ball for a save. Panait Hațegan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Gaona in the 20th minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when Tractorul Satulung -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mădălin Cangeopol didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Alberto Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Panait Hațegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mexico's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joel Gaona in the 35th minute. In the 36th match minute, Tractorul Satulung -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Samuel Hall to maneuver through the defense. In the 37th minute of the match Joel Gaona shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Panait Hațegan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 47 minutes into the game, Wesley Sneijder cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mădălin Cangeopol made a kick off. Samuel Hall's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samuel Hall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Samuel Hall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Panait Hațegan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Facundo Cadaval in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Lorenzo Cazalla hit a great ball. Panait Hațegan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 66th minute. Mădălin Cangeopol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wesley Sneijder in the 72nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With 86 minutes on the clock, Heintje Gamarra commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 85 minutes into the game, one of Tractorul Satulung -MM-:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. With a little luck, Tractorul Satulung -MM-'s Panait Hațegan got control of the ball when Alberto Tafalla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Mexico supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mexico would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
