Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Galand FC's Fabricio Quintan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paavali Paatelainen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Montenegro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paavali Paatelainen having to interfere. When Cristian Sancho came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristian Sancho couldn't finish the play. If Teppo Kallioniemi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 18 minutes Galand FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. 19 minutes into the game, Galand FC's Fabricio Quintan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Julio Vera made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 26th minute Ecuador were awarded a corner. Daniel Zorita went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ecuador's Daniel Zorita to fire away a dangerous shot which Paavali Paatelainen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paavali Paatelainen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teppo Kallioniemi in the 33rd minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Quintan in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Galand FC's Paavali Paatelainen got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Galand FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. When the match had gone on for 59 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Paavali Paatelainen to make any attempt to save it. 74 minutes into the game, Salomo Laukka was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Galand FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After 74 played minutes Galand FC got a freekick which was hit by Salomo Laukka. In the 76th minute Luis Andino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paavali Paatelainen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felix Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Agustín Saelicess short, quick shot in the 82ndth minute got Paavali Paatelainen to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 82 minutes into the game, Agustín Saelices lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Paavali Paatelainen. 89 minutes had been played when some careless play by Galand FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. It was a well-played corner which Luis Andino managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Teppo Kallioniemi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julio Vera having to interfere. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Quintan in the 93rd minute of play. Dorel Crivoi kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
