Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Agustin Orion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Zorita's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Agustín Saelices got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percy Medeiros in the 12th minute of play. Felix Montenegro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agustin Orion having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Carlos Maxin notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ecuador's Julio Vera. Julio Vera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Llavallol FC's Agustin Orion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute Percy Medeiros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nereo Min hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After 29 played minutes, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Agustin Orion came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ecuador reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedito Fiúza in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Felix Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agustin Orion read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Daniel Zorita in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Agustin Orion saved Llavallol FC from getting behind. Agustin Orion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 46th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Llavallol FC's Isaac Cordero got a free kick in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 51st minute, Carlos Maxin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Llavallol FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Cristian Sancho fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Agustin Orion, passed just outside the right post. Agustin Orion made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Zorita in the 56th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Daniel Zorita dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Agustin Orion, 1-2. Cristian Sancho might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Agustin Orion. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristian Sancho ran back to his position shaking his head. Cristian Sancho struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Agustin Orion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Paixão in the 70th minute of play. In the 74th minute, Carlos Maxin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 82nd minute of play forced Llavallol FC's goalkeeper Agustin Orion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Maxin in the 84th minute of the match. In the 85th match minute, Llavallol FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Damian Serafo to maneuver through the defense. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
