Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Galvão in the 3rd minute of the match. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Weniger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Dan Rowell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrick Galvão scored 1-0 in the 10th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Patrick Galvão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benito Sanz was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Patrick Galvão sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. Patrick Galvão took the ball and in the 20 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. 25 minutes into the game, West Staines Massive's Michael Weniger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet as West Staines Massive's Michael Weniger slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benito Sanz. That made the score 5-0 after 30 minutes of play. The West Staines Massive fans' excitement grew in the 36th match minute when West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of West Staines Massive booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Ferrant didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrick Galvão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 7-0 in the 40 minute of play. Benno Meves struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for West Staines Massive. Patrick Galvão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benito Sanz having to make a save. In the 47th minute West Staines Massive were awarded a corner. Helmuth Follmann went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Helmuth Follmann got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benito Sanz quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Patrick Galvão went, in the 51st minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alexander Carballo during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 54 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Carballo. 56 minutes into the game, West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 9-0. When Helmuth Follmann came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the West Staines Massive fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Helmuth Follmann couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Patrick Galvão cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 10-0. Benito Sanz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the game, West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 12-0. In the 72nd minute, Patrick Galvão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benito Sanz was frozen by the shot and now it was 13-0. Helmuth Follmann took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 76th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Benito Sanz. Costa Rica's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 79th minute Benno Meves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Galvão in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in West Staines Massive's zone, Lautaro Puig stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Calvin Kuckhoff came out of the goal and Lautaro Puig tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 87 minutes into the game, West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 15-0. When West Staines Massive's Patrick Galvão in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Costa Rica's goalie prevented a goal. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 16-0 when Patrick Galvão sped through Costa Rica's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. When the referee ended the match the West Staines Massive players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
