With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Cumali Neşat tried to sneak it across the goal line. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 23rd minute of play. Joel Gaona struck a weak shot in the 25th minute. Bora Hazer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mexico. In the 26th match minute, A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Jerano to maneuver through the defense. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 34 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leoz. Bora Hazer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 36th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's Bora Hazer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice moves Alberto Tafalla could shoot a difficult shot in the 66th minute, which Bora Hazer however easily saved by the left post. The corner went over the outstretched arms of A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's goalie and right to Luca Zorita. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 78th minute Mexico were awarded a corner. Joel Gaona went to the cornerflag to take it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alberto Tafalla got free with Bora Hazer in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cumali Neşat kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Lautaro Mancebo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Bora Hazer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. German Beila kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. The supporters of Mexico booed when A K Ç A Y ✔ 37 SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Babacar Amokachi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bora Hazer acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Joel Gaona.
