Moises Fernandino might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sergiy Lepyavko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Moises Fernandino ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lev Nazarchuk in the 13th minute of play. A collision led to Синій getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Roman Bryl hit a great ball. If Moises Fernandino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. But to his dismay, Moises Fernandino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Jesus Carvallo charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jesus Carvallo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 34th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Carvallo to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Matviy Pavleschuk did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-2 to the left of a surprised Ricardo Zorita 40 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lev Nazarchuk in the 48th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lev Nazarchuk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ricardo Zorita showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Bryl, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Marco Tamayo kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lev Nazarchuk in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute, Vladyslav Vernydub hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 67 minutes into the match, Синій's goalkeeper Sergiy Lepyavko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mateo Leguizamo. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matviy Pavleschuk in the 71st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orest Tovt in the 74th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Ricardo Zorita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Синій's goalkeeper Sergiy Lepyavko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abram Luque. Sergiy Lepyavko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Moises Fernandino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 87 minutes into the match, El Salvador's goal looked a bit too open when Lev Nazarchuk came free, but Ricardo Zorita reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matviy Pavleschuk in the 89th minute of the match. Moises Fernandino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Sergiy Lepyavko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. El Salvador walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
