Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Daniel Zorita started the match with the kick off. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Loid De Keuster in the 9th minute. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ecuador's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henrik Ooms was slow to take the kick. During this time Silver Squad AFC's players had a chance to rest. A collision led to Silver Squad AFC getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Benjamin Carberry hit a great ball. In the 14th minute Felix Montenegro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waud De Geyter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Antonio Arias hit a great ball. Silver Squad AFC's Damazy Radzyminski got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Izydor Czysta was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Silver Squad AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. In the 25th minute, Izydor Czysta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustín Saelices, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Ecuador got a corner. Silver Squad AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Zorita ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Waud De Geyter quite easily take care of the ball. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Carberry in the 40th minute. After a rather tough play, Silver Squad AFC's Fryderyk Mondrowski got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Ecuador's Cristian Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Loid De Keuster took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julio Vera. Julio Vera dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0.
The wind increased when Benjamin Carberry made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Silver Squad AFC's Fryderyk Mondrowski got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Daniel Zorita sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waud De Geyter skillfully saved the ball. Waud De Geyter showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Waud De Geyter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frans Van Caubergen in the 62nd minute of play. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waud De Geyter having to interfere. Primitivo Andino hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Henrik Ooms took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Julio Vera. Ecuador's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benjamin Carberry in the 74th minute of play. Bror Litenboks hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Benjamin Carberry scored 2-0 in the 97th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Julio Vera, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ecuador players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Silver Squad AFC.
