Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. A well-hit corner resulted in Felix Montes heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Gunde Omaro FC's Daniel Canto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 25th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Celal Suer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Julio Vera. The goal made the score 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 33rd minute of play forced Gunde Omaro FC's goalkeeper Daniel Canto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Primitivo Andino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celal Suer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. After having played for 40 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ünsal Palabıyık managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gunde Omaro FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ünsal Palabıyık was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julio Vera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Gunde Omaro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nike 陈真 didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristian Sancho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Julio Vera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Celal Suer, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Daniel Canto firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ünsal Palabıyık in the 56th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gunde Omaro FC were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Ozan Sayılgan took the corner. The corner led to Gunde Omaro FC's Eşref Budak getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 63 minutes, Ahmet Ozan Sayılgan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gunde Omaro FC and the Ecuador players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ahmet Ozan Sayılgan hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Gunde Omaro FC got a freekick which was hit by Şahap Kutlay. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Daniel Canto but with some difficulty. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Celal Suer in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gunde Omaro FC were awarded a corner in the 69th minute after Ecuador's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ahmet Ozan Sayılgan took the corner. With a little luck, Gunde Omaro FC's Daniel Canto got control of the ball when Agustín Saelices tried to sneak it across the goal line. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celal Suer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Daniel Canto made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Daniel Zorita took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Daniel Canto to make any attempt to save it. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Canto having to interfere. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Felix Montenegro hit a great ball. Celal Suer struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gunde Omaro FC. Ecuador were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
