Mazarópi Barros came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Julian Murillo. But to his dismay, Julian Murillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. A sloppy throw-in by Frank de Boer in the 45th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Peru's Alonso Berganza. The supporters of Peru booed when . SC Manhattan . was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Van Dijk didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Julian Murillo made a kick off. In the 55th minute Peru were awarded a corner. Luz Tejedor went to the cornerflag to take it. Peru's Luz Tejedor was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mazarópi Barros in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind . SC Manhattan .'s goalkeeper Mazarópi Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Eliseo Mina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazarópi Barros having to interfere. Chico Valadares hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Milagros Fraga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazarópi Barros having to interfere. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind . SC Manhattan .'s goalkeeper Mazarópi Barros, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 82ndth minute of the game Chico Valadares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 85 minutes into the game, . SC Manhattan .'s Chico Valadares nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rolando Noboa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Peru made a substitution.
