Mexico's Dante Lacasa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Mexico from getting a goal against them. Espen Lyngsby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Mexico's Dante Lacasa got control of the ball when Mihăiţă Vergulescu tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 11th match minute, Mexico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Luque to maneuver through the defense. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18th minute Lautaro Mancebo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Espen Lyngsby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudiu Şerbănoiu scored 1-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dante Lacasa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rdth minute of the game Mihăiţă Vergulescu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mexico's Dante Lacasa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Espen Lyngsby made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Mancebo in the 24th minute of play. Espen Lyngsby came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Facundo Cadaval. But to his dismay, Facundo Cadaval quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 28 minutes, Lautaro Mancebo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mexico's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Mancebo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 33 minutes into the match, Mexico's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Whitmore came free, but Dante Lacasa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalkeeper Espen Lyngsby, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When -BZF- Ursus Magura's Claudiu Şerbănoiu in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mexico's goalie prevented a goal. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 46th minute of play. After 48 played minutes -BZF- Ursus Magura got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Whitmore. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Joel Gaona stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lautaro Mancebo came free with the goalkeeper in the 52nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Espen Lyngsby could save by the left post. In the 53rd minute of the match Mexico got a corner. -BZF- Ursus Magura's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Joel Gaona almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but -BZF- Ursus Magura's Espen Lyngsby did a great save. The supporters of Mexico booed when -BZF- Ursus Magura was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alvis Vilners didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolas Whitmore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudiu Şerbănoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. -BZF- Ursus Magura's Aron Pantiș was substituted for Cristi Dinu. In the 85th minute Mihăiţă Vergulescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mexico's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
