In the 16th minute, Patricio Costa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. 林城谦 was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19thth minute of the game Tomas Illescas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cylon's 林城谦 was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 林城谦 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but 林城谦 was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. In the 42nd match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Jonathan Ferrant was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and 沈迪志 capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. 沈迪志 really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 沈迪志 to make the kick off. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 沈迪志, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Tomas Illescas's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 58thth minute, 林城谦 skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with 林城谦 in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Venezuela were awarded a corner in the 63th minute after Cylon's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomas Illescas took the corner. The corner ended in Tomas Illescas almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Cylon's 林城谦 did a great save. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 74 minutes into the match, Tomas Illescas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of 林城谦, 3-3. In the 89th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 林城谦 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 沈迪志's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. 沈迪志 helped the player get up and apologised. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 94 minutes into the game, Salvador Gisbert threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cylon's 姚广邦 quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Venezuela were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
