Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ömer Demirci got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's Ömer Demirci sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mike Zoetmulder narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 4 played minutes KOCAELİSPOR got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Delgadillo. In the 6th minute Twan Mol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şemsettin Tuyuğ saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Ömer Demirci had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. De Pelgrims's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ömer Demirci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Şemsettin Tuyuğ showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Cardinaal in the 11th minute of the match. Şemsettin Tuyuğ stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Henk Cardinaal's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mathias de Ruijter kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Şemsettin Tuyuğ. That made the score 1-1 in the 13 minute of play. In the 15th minute, Fu Peng Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Maximino Claris had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Henk Cardinaal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Şemsettin Tuyuğ tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mike Zoetmulder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Demirci in the 20th minute of play. Mike Zoetmulder didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Demirci went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Şemsettin Tuyuğ didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henk Cardinaal went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Ömer Demirci took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mike Zoetmulder. Mike Zoetmulder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. A sloppy throw-in by Henk Cardinaal in the 34th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by KOCAELİSPOR's Boğaçhan Tanır. If Perivaldo Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ömer Demirci sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mike Zoetmulder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ömer Demirci, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Montrel Perpiñán hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Perivaldo Eger to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Perivaldo Eger managed to get in a good position for a shot. De Pelgrims's supporters rose to their feet, but Perivaldo Eger was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Şemsettin Tuyuğ breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54th minute Ömer Demirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Zoetmulder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Maximino Claris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Mike Zoetmulder tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias de Ruijter took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Şemsettin Tuyuğ. Şemsettin Tuyuğ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. After some careless play in the De Pelgrims defense, Aşır Zabit kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mike Zoetmulder. The De Pelgrims fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mike Zoetmulder should have stopped the shot. Şemsettin Tuyuğ came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by De Pelgrims's Mathias de Ruijter. But to his dismay, Mathias de Ruijter quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. After a rather tough play, De Pelgrims's Theo Tuyp got a free kick in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henk Cardinaal in the 81st minute of play forced KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Şemsettin Tuyuğ to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Aşır Zabit kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mike Zoetmulder. That made the score 4-5 in the 82 minute of play. Aşır Zabit might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mike Zoetmulder. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aşır Zabit ran back to his position shaking his head. Mike Zoetmulder showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aşır Zabit in the 91st minute of the match. In the 92nd match minute, De Pelgrims was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Perivaldo Eger to maneuver through the defense. The De Pelgrims supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching KOCAELİSPOR's performance. The match ended with a win for KOCAELİSPOR.
