Talcampeón FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAN LORENZO FC the free kick. A collision led to Talcampeón FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. SAN LORENZO FC's Primitivo Salomone proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save SAN LORENZO FC from getting a goal against them. Talcampeón FC's Rutenio Poveda tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Jacinto Cross made the kick off in the second half. José Francisco Maffey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Primitivo Salomone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cerilo Bustunzuria kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Siro Paio in the 59th minute of play forced Talcampeón FC's goalkeeper Rutenio Poveda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute Jacinto Cross shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Primitivo Salomone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rutenio Poveda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Ofelio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rutenio Poveda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximino Ofelio, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Rutenio Poveda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Ofelio in the 73rd minute of play. SAN LORENZO FC made a substitution. Julio Ofelio replaced Roman Goito. Primitivo Salomone dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After 90 played minutes SAN LORENZO FC got a freekick which was hit by Julio Ofelio. After a defensive mix-up in SAN LORENZO FC's zone, José Francisco Maffey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Primitivo Salomone came out of the goal and José Francisco Maffey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 92nd minute, Julio Ofelio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Primitivo Salomone showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jacinto Cross, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Julio Ofelio during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Talcampeón FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing SAN LORENZO FC to leave the ground with a draw.
