AIF's Carl Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Ofelio in the 6th minute of play. Edmund Alstedt hit a great ball. After some careless play in the AIF defense, Maximino Ofelio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carl Ek. The AIF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carl Ek should have stopped the shot. Carl Ek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximino Ofelio in the 19th minute of play. The SAN LORENZO FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. The supporters of AIF booed when SAN LORENZO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Corderro didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Siro Paio's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Ek was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Romeo in the 41st minute of play forced AIF's goalkeeper Carl Ek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Claes Ahlrot's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maximino Ofelio to strike the kick off in the second half. Siro Paio might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Carl Ek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. AIF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Romeo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Carl Ek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bernardo Romeo went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. John Eliasson's late challenge caught a SAN LORENZO FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Eliasson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute, John Eliasson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes of play, SAN LORENZO FC's Maximino Ofelio made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Ek was left in no man's land by his defense there! Carl Ek didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clodoveo Corderro went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. AIF's Carl Ek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maximino Ofelio in the 86th minute of play. If Edmund Alstedt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The AIF fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SAN LORENZO FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
