After 2 played minutes AIF got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Alstedt. AIF's Bengt Felin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Fernandes in the 3rd minute of play. In the 8th match minute, AIF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gert Kjellbom to maneuver through the defense. 11 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Mattos came free, but Bengt Felin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute Jerônimo de Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bengt Felin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Mattos came free, but Bengt Felin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bengt Felin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo de Salles in the 17th minute of the match. Bengt Felin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lúcio Mattos in the 20th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo de Salles came free, but Bengt Felin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. AIF's Bengt Felin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dorian Linares in the 23rd minute of play. Bengt Felin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerônimo de Salles in the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Lúcio Mattos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bengt Felin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Moisés Lopes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luiz Guilherme Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Alstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Lúcio Mattos put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bengt Felin. 42 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ingmar Brask came free, but Luiz Guilherme Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 46 minutes into the match, AIF's goal looked a bit too open when Jerônimo de Salles came free, but Bengt Felin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 47 minutes on the clock, Régis de Alcântara commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 46th minute, one of Sosoco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sosoco FC. After the first half Sosoco FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lúcio Mattos to strike the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Sosoco FC's Bengt Felin threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Lúcio Mattos, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 63 minutes into the match, AIF's goalkeeper Bengt Felin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jerônimo de Salles. The crowd rose to their feet as Luís Guilherme Fernandes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bengt Felin. That made the score 1-3 in the 65 minute of play. When Anselmo Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Sosoco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anselmo Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Bengt Felin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lúcio Mattos's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Bengt Felin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Sosoco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmund Alstedt came free, but Luiz Guilherme Zanette reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of AIF booed when Sosoco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jerônimo de Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Sosoco FC's Lúcio Mattos in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye AIF's goalie prevented a goal. Anselmo Gaspar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Bengt Felin came out and tried to block the shot, but Anselmo Gaspar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 94th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sosoco FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
