Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. UPTEXTIL.COM's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silvério das Neves was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 33 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Paraibano. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of MDS Soccer Club:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of UPTEXTIL.COM:s goal. The goalkeeper, Luiz Fernando da Mata, was totally fooled by UPTEXTIL.COM's Baltazar Paraibano, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 45 minutes into the game, MDS Soccer Club's Frédson Salgado nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Eduardo de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The UPTEXTIL.COM players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeremias Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. MDS Soccer Club's Luiz Fernando da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Pinheiro in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute Jeremias Pinheiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frédson Salgado ran back to his position shaking his head. Alfredo Madureira kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 74th minute, UPTEXTIL.COM's Ediberto Marinho seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ediberto Marinho the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of UPTEXTIL.COM protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ediberto Marinho had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Ediberto Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's Diguinho Romero broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
