After 29 minutes, Beto Fontes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the MDS Soccer Club and the PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players grew even worse after the yellow card. Beto Fontes hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. A collision led to MDS Soccer Club getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Alfredo Madureira hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Mircea Jupân hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the game, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Golo Phoenix nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luiz Fernando da Mata made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 43rd minute of the match Costel Gurgui shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando da Mata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luiz Fernando da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Golo Phoenix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 46th minute, Golo Phoenix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fernando da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

The wind increased when Frédson Salgado made the kick off in the second half. Vlad Covrig showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Salgado in the 54th minute of the match. Golo Phoenix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luiz Fernando da Mata having to make a save. In the 56th minute, Golo Phoenix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Luiz Fernando da Mata was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Virgil Jupân struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Luiz Fernando da Mata didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca. Luiz Fernando da Mata took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Virgil Jupân, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Jupân took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fernando da Mata. Luiz Fernando da Mata dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Vlad Covrig made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Salgado in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Mircea Jupân got a free kick in the 70th minute. Luiz Fernando da Mata showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Virgil Jupân in the 77th minute of the match. In the 84th minute of the match Sorin Nicorici shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fernando da Mata showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Golo Phoenix fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando da Mata having to interfere. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sorin Nicorici in the 90th minute. The corner ended in Sorin Nicorici almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but MDS Soccer Club's Luiz Fernando da Mata did a great save. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Tony Palmeira got a free kick in the 92nd minute. Sorin Nicorici, 93 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 95th minute, Lucian Şimonca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
