But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rigoberto Cordeal couldn't finish the play. Everardo Benino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando da Mata having to interfere. If Rigoberto Cordeal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Fernando da Mata made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigoberto Cordeal in the 17th minute. Cosme Piorno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvério das Neves in the 18th minute of the match. After some careless play in the MDS Soccer Club defense, Everardo Benino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luiz Fernando da Mata. The MDS Soccer Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luiz Fernando da Mata should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nestor Vides in the 24th minute of play forced TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's goalkeeper Cosme Piorno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MDS Soccer Club's zone, Arturo Constancio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Fernando da Mata came out of the goal and Arturo Constancio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 28 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Constancio came free, but Luiz Fernando da Mata reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Rigoberto Cordeal could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Luiz Fernando da Mata however easily saved by the left post. 30 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipe Montrel. Luiz Fernando da Mata was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Rigoberto Cordeal capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rigoberto Cordeal really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Rigoberto Cordeals short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Luiz Fernando da Mata to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 41 played minutes MDS Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by William Cosme. 45 minutes into the game, MDS Soccer Club's Silvério das Neves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cosme Piorno made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Everardo Benino to strike the kick off in the second half. Cosme Piorno was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Frédson Salgado showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 52 minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Vinicio Porfiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave MDS Soccer Club the free kick. The supporters of MDS Soccer Club booed when TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinicio Porfiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luiz Fernando da Mata was left in no man's land by his defense there! TLAMET Y TLASAK 100PRE's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
