Ernst Cakir who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Luiz Fernando da Mata when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 17 played minutes MDS Soccer Club got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Madureira. Damian Brändle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With his leg Luiz Fernando da Mata managed to avoid a goal in the 24thth minute, when ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Ernst Cakir fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 25th minute, William Cosme made a precise shot to the right of Matthias Meliti. ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 33rdth minute of the game Mathias Bucher who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MDS Soccer Club's Luiz Fernando da Mata was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 35 minutes into the match, MDS Soccer Club's goalkeeper Luiz Fernando da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Enrico Casetti. Enrico Casetti kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Wipp to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Frédson Salgado made a kick off. Silvério das Neves charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvério das Neves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, MDS Soccer Club's Silvério das Neves got a free kick in the 52nd minute. When Damian Brändle came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damian Brändle couldn't finish the play. 55 minutes into the game, Silvério das Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Matthias Meliti. Silvério das Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. Damian Brändle kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 63 played minutes ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ got a freekick which was hit by Luca Tobler. In the 65th match minute, ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernd Heid to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Bucher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fernando da Mata having to interfere. During the 70th minute of the match Enrico Casetti completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Enrico Casetti a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Enrico Casetti hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernst Cakir in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luiz Fernando da Mata prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute, Faustão Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 79 minutes of play ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ's Karl Hilti was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of MDS Soccer Club booed when ꜰᴄ ꜱᴄʜᴇʟʟᴇɴʙᴇʀɢ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Hilti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Silvério das Neves could shoot a difficult shot in the 82nd minute, which Matthias Meliti however easily saved by the left post. In the 86th minute Ernst Cakir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Fernando da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. MDS Soccer Club had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
