Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Francisco Alagoano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aírton Nóbrega, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Palmares Futebol Clube's Luisinho Nogueira slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Humberto Xavier. That made the score 1-0 after 6 minutes of play. After 9 played minutes Brasilino got a freekick which was hit by Juninho Rosa. Humberto Xavier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haroldo Lopes in the 10th minute. In the 11th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dário Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Geraldo Gonçalves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Humberto Xavier made a huge save. Humberto Xavier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisinho Nogueira in the 25th minute of the match. In the 26th minute, Aírton Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 31 minutes into the match, Aírton Nóbrega notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Palmares Futebol Clube's Francisco Alagoano. Francisco Alagoano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Humberto Xavier came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Palmares Futebol Clube's Geraldo Gonçalves. But to his dismay, Geraldo Gonçalves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luisinho Nogueira in the 37th minute of play forced Brasilino's goalkeeper Humberto Xavier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the game, Luisinho Nogueira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Humberto Xavier. Luisinho Nogueira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-1. 43 minutes into the match, Brasilino's goal looked a bit too open when Luisinho Nogueira came free, but Humberto Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Moreira's late challenge caught a Brasilino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dário Moreira helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Dário Moreira. In the 45th minute, Aírton Nóbrega got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 47 minutes into the game, João Vítor Sena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Humberto Xavier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Geraldo Gonçalves to make the kick off. Humberto Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Vítor Sena went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Humberto Xavier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Vítor Sena in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, João Carlos Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hílton da Silveira hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Palmares Futebol Clube's Vicente Ferraz got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 69th match minute, Brasilino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Martins to maneuver through the defense. 73 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Hílton da Silveira came free, but Francisco Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hernani Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Brasilino defense, João Vítor Sena kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humberto Xavier. The Brasilino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humberto Xavier should have stopped the shot. After 82 played minutes Palmares Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Gonçalves. When Brasilino's Aírton Nóbrega in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmares Futebol Clube's goalie prevented a goal. In the 87th minute, João Vítor Sena left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmares Futebol Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1. 93 minutes into the match, Luisinho Nogueira notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Brasilino's Humberto Xavier. Humberto Xavier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Brasilino's Aírton Nóbrega slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Francisco Alagoano. That made the score 8-2 after 98 minutes of play. Brasilino's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
