Dedê Valladares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Glauco Aparecido showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Pereira came free, but Dedê Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Inácio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lúcio Domingues having to interfere. Vascogoianiense FC's Dedê Valladares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Vascogoianiense FC from getting a goal against them. Vascogoianiense FC's Josué Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ademar Montenegro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Téo Marques hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Dedê Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fabiano Negri, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Valdemar Marinho's late challenge caught a Capivara FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Marinho helped the player get up and apologised. Valdemar Marinho hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Glauco Aparecido to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Téo Marques was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vascogoianiense FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Capivara FC the free kick. In the 50th minute, Téo Marques hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 53rd minute, Glauco Aparecido left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Capivara FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Valdemar Marinho hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Vascogoianiense FC's Dedê Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Leal in the 58th minute of play. Dedê Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glauco Aparecido, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vascogoianiense FC's Válter Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Luciano Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capivara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Pereira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dedê Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dedê Valladares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edvaldo Leal in the 66th minute of play. Inácio Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Domingues read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vascogoianiense FC's Josué Pena got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 76th minute Luciano Pereira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 80th minute, Glauco Aparecido ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedê Valladares was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Dedê Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Edvaldo Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dedê Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute Glauco Aparecido shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dedê Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dedê Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabiano Negri in the 94th minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Capivara FC had played much better football throughout.
