In the 6th match minute, Palmares Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Porto to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's Ricardo Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl de Amaral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Palmares Futebol Clube's Francisco Alagoano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerson Ramos in the 17th minute of play. João Francisco Mota hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After 19 minutes, Reynaldo Baiano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mestre GG and the Palmares Futebol Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee ignored Palmares Futebol Clube's protests and gave Ricardo Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 44thth minute of the game Geraldo Gonçalves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mestre GG's Raúl de Amaral was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 44 played minutes Mestre GG got a freekick which was hit by Christian Donato. Mestre GG's Raúl de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Gonçalves in the 47th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dé Paiva to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 50th minute, Isaltino Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Isaltino Oliveira to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Vítor Sena in the 60th minute of play forced Mestre GG's goalkeeper Raúl de Amaral to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Mestre GG getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Reynaldo Baiano hit a great ball. Palmares Futebol Clube's Luisinho Nogueira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Raúl de Amaral but with some difficulty. 70 minutes into the match, Palmares Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Wilian Fonseca came free, but Francisco Alagoano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raúl de Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor Sena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. João Francisco Mota struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Francisco Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mestre GG. In the 85th match minute, Mestre GG was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Célio Munhoz to maneuver through the defense. Luisinho Nogueira was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 86th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ricardo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl de Amaral having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Palmares Futebol Clube players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Mestre GG.
