The audience was convinced that Donalton Meneses's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olavo Fonseca was relentless in the 12th minute of the game. Jorge Mandrak kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's José Carlos Medeiros broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 16th minute, Osvaldinho Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donalton Meneses in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Vascogoianiense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Enéas Varela came free, but Olavo Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Vascogoianiense FC's zone, Josué Chaves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Olavo Fonseca came out of the goal and Josué Chaves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olavo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donalton Meneses in the 43rd minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Donalton Meneses made a kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Osvaldinho Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 『盛世メ名門』MZ TOMAR NO C∩ ™'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vascogoianiense FC the free kick. In the 58th minute, Cléber Quadros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donalton Meneses got free with Olavo Fonseca in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Horácio Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ernani do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Olavo Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Moraes in the 85th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Ernani do Vale reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Olavo Fonseca. The goal made the score 2-3.
