After 3 minutes of play, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's James Orange made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sofyane Valognes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Flavian Garcon took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cacá Sousa. Cacá Sousa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Cacá Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Cosme in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the match, Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Karim Cosme came free, but Cacá Sousa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Brandon Pardon got a free kick in the 11th minute. Sofyane Valognes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Orange in the 15th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Deivid Moreira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Sofyane Valognes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sofyane Valognes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ were awarded a corner in the 22th minute after Rathmore Lime Tree's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Francisco Queirós took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Perivaldo Figueiredo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sofyane Valognes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Sofyane Valognes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Orange in the 24th minute of play. The supporters of Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ booed when Rathmore Lime Tree was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bilal Hédin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's Deivid Moreira in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rathmore Lime Tree's goalie prevented a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Rathmore Lime Tree's goal looked a bit too open when James Orange came free, but Sofyane Valognes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Deivid Moreira in the 43rd minute of play forced Rathmore Lime Tree's goalkeeper Sofyane Valognes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Sofyane Valognes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Rathmore Lime Tree's Éloi Le Calvez was substituted for Hervé Annette. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Deivid Moreira made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Flavian Garcon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavian Garcon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Paul-Émile Brien hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rathmore Lime Tree's Jim Belloir was substituted for Paul-Émile Brien. The audience thought a goal was coming when James Orange got free with Sofyane Valognes in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 62nd minute Edgard Cearense collided with an opponent which caused him a fractured collar bone. When Jim Belloir fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rathmore Lime Tree's protests and gave Jim Belloir a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Rathmore Lime Tree's Jim Belloir got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Sofyane Valognes was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from João Vítor Tasso. Cacá Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karim Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Rathmore Lime Tree's Jim Belloir got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Jim Belloir off the ground. Jim Belloir kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 75th minute, when Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ's André Vides after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Sofyane Valognes in Rathmore Lime Tree's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. Sofyane Valognes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Deivid Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sofyane Valognes was a little too slow when Deivid Moreira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 79th minute. The score was now 1-3. Flavian Garcon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Sofyane Valognes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 84th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Queirós. Cacá Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavian Garcon in the 85th minute of play. After some careless play in the Rathmore Lime Tree defense, James Orange kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sofyane Valognes. The Rathmore Lime Tree fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sofyane Valognes should have stopped the shot. 96 minutes into the match, Deivid Moreira dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Sofyane Valognes, 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Laranja Mecânica FSCMZ eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
