Higinio Brion didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alberto Tafalla went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 12th minute of play forced Carboncito's goalkeeper Higinio Brion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Mexico fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 18th minute, Lautaro Mancebo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Higinio Brion was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Brion made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Zorita in the 38th minute of play. When Luca Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luca Zorita couldn't finish the play. Carboncito's Higinio Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cosme Sugar to make the kick off. Carboncito's Higinio Brion played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 51st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cosme Sugar in the 52nd minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Luca Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Higinio Brion. That made the score 0-5 in the 62 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fulgencio Poz in the 65th minute of play forced Mexico's goalkeeper Dante Lacasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Alonso's late challenge caught a Mexico's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With an all-out effort, Mexico's Higinio Brion threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Facundo Cadaval, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The throw-in from Cosme Sugar in the 92nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Mexico's Lautaro Mancebo. A collision led to Mexico getting a freekick after 95 minutes play.
