Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Cesare Loreto started the match with the kick off. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Andino in the 5th minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, Cesare Loreto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesare Loreto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luis Andino in the 12th minute of play forced Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristian Sancho scored 1-2 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Armando Bonelli, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edoardo Meo in the 17th minute of play. Armando Bonelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 21st minute of play. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristian Sancho in the 24th minute of play. After 25 minutes Sorci Viola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Cristian Sancho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Bonelli quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Felix Montes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Bonelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. After having played for 28 minutes, Cesare Loreto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorci Viola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cesare Loreto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 29th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Bonelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Bonelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Zorita, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 33 minutes Sorci Viola's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. Juan Sebastián Puig was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Armando Bonelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 36th minute of play. In the 38th match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Cristian Sancho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ecuador fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Armando Bonelli made a huge save. Alvise Urbani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 60 minutes into the match, Sorci Viola's goalkeeper Armando Bonelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristian Sancho. Sorci Viola's Armando Bonelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Sorci Viola from getting a goal against them. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 75th minute. With his leg Armando Bonelli managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Ecuador's Luis Andino fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Armando Bonelli made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. If Alvise Urbani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daniel Zorita, 88 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Armando Bonelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
